ERP Consulting witnessed the transition of Service Alberta as it implemented a new Reporting infrastructure based on Business Objects (BO) that linked to an ITSM version 7.1 databases on SQL Server 2005. Our team spearheaded the validation of old and new objects to ensure proper tables and joins were employed for the new 7.6 database. We set up the new Universe to point to a static ITSM test environment and data to provide a pre-implementation testing platform. We handled key responsibilities of configuring, administering security groups & content, troubleshooting/tuning the CMS and server tuning parameters for the BOBI 4.0 and Xi3.1 environment. In the Business Objects Enterprise environments, our experts demonstrated impeccable ability to quickly diagnose and resolve problems related to web servers, application servers, and BI web applications. We modified the Universe objects that relied on changed usage data elements to ensure that they reflect proper logic and meaning of the terms.
An integral part of the transition was to migrate SAP BO Xi3.1 content to SAP BOBI 4.0 SP2 and BI Cloud. Our team efficiently established the reporting test criteria and test plan for the new Universe while demonstrating expertise in supporting SQL Server 2005/2008r2 and SQL Server DBA in a large complex environment. We designed and deployed large Universes to support a BO reporting environment and ensured proper usage of the BO toolset with a large, complex database source. We identified and communicated technical problems, processes, and solutions with business users. Our team continuously provided the BMC ITSM and SAP BOBJ ad hoc reporting production support for seamless processes.
