ERP Consulting led the process of data integration, a key requirement of the Financial Business Intelligence system (FBI), while retaining the lowest level detail available from the source systems. As the technology partner to Shire Pharmaceuticals, we provided solutions for data warehouse techniques, Ralph Kimball’s dimensional modeling, Star/Snowflake schema, ETL, OLAP, and Report delivery methodologies. We also performed, extended, updated, and maintained the data models to support changing business needs.
The key task of our team was to convert high-level company’s KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) requirements to functional/technical specifications. We designed, built, and implemented Data Warehouse including conceptual design, logical design, and physical design, implemented reporting and Xcelsius dashboard services to integrate General Ledger (GL) balances and supporting journal data from SAP R3, Ross, and HFM sources that are reusable for all future reporting needs by using Live Office XiR3.
We successfully designed, developed, and published a set of web-based financial reports and Xcelsius dashboard with interactive analytical capabilities associated with GL actual. We created standard Xcelsius 4.5 dashboard reports and analysis paths for Balance Sheets (BS), Profit and Loss (P&L), and Cash Flow analysis, including drill-down to revenue and cost analysis based on GL data.
Another important task that we accomplished was to design and implement Crystal Xcelsius dashboard with dimensional data connection by using Query as a Web Service (QAAWS), and Webi, Crystal Report Services to utilize the FBI system to meet the business needs. We also successfully designed performance measures and ratios related to BS and Cash flows.
